Maternity Photoshoot FAQ: What to Expect + How to Book

Hey, mama! First off—congratulations! Whether you're in the glowing goddess stage or just trying to survive on snacks and stretchy pants (relatable 😅), I’m so glad you’re here.

If you're considering a maternity session but have questions before booking, you're in the right place. Here’s a quick guide to help you feel informed and confident about the process.

✨ When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?

I recommend booking your session to take place between 30–32 weeks. That’s the sweet spot where your bump is showing beautifully, but you’re (hopefully) still feeling comfortable enough to move around a bit.

If you’re a little earlier or later—no worries! Every pregnancy is different, and we’ll make it work.

🕒 When do sessions take place?

All sessions take place Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM.

I know weekdays can be tricky—but this window gives us the best natural light in the studio and helps create a calm, relaxed environment without weekend distractions. If you need help finding a time that works, I’m happy to work with your schedule as best I can

Need a weekend?
I do offer limited weekend dates throughout the year for an additional fee. These spots book up quickly, so if you’re hoping for a Saturday or Sunday session, let me know early so we can make it happen!

🗓 How do I book a session?

You’ve got two options:

  1. Book a consult call – Let’s chat about your vision, walk through the session types, and get your questions answered. You can grab a time by scheduling your consultation call HERE.

  2. Book online – If you're ready to go, you can book your session right away by clicking: HERE. Once the session fee is paid and contract is signed, I’ll follow up to schedule your date.

💄 What’s included in a maternity session?

My sessions are designed to feel cozy, guided, and just the right mix of glam and real. Here’s what’s included:

  • A studio lifestyle session (or both in-studio + on-location if you choose that package!)

  • Access to my client closet for gorgeous, flattering wardrobe options

  • Professional makeup service reccomendations— MUA is included in “The Full & The Works” packages, so you feel confident and pampered

  • A completely guided experience—you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands 😉 I’ve got you!

👗 What should I wear?

After booking, you'll get a prep email that includes styling tips and wardrobe recommendations. You can bring your own outfits, use my client closet, or do a mix of both! Think comfy, feminine, and true to you.

💰 Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I offer flexible in-house payment plans, plus I accept credit/debit, PayPal Credit, and Affirm.
